In 2012, Van Berkom Golden Dragon Limited (VBGD) was incorporated in Hong Kong to provide an Asian small cap equity product to institutional investors. VBGD is registered with the Securities and Futures
Exchange in Hong Kong with a Type 9 license.
VBA looks for companies with strong management with a significant ownership position, several years of consistent growth in revenues and earnings, strong ROIC and free cash flow, competitive advantage, a
clearly defined strategy for long-term growth and conservative accounting methods. VBA also attempts to identify companies with an important franchise, a significant market share, a global reach and a unique
product or service.
VBA’s research process focuses on fundamental analysis. Most of our research efforts center on the identification and analysis of individual companies that are prepared for the economic and secular trends of
the future. VBA emphasizes bottom-up analysis to identify high-quality and undervalued companies.
