2024 PMAC Award Winners for Excellence in Investment Journalism

The 2024 PMAC Awards for Excellence in Investment Journalism have recognized top financial journalists in Canada whose insightful coverage guides investors through market complexities. The winning entries span crucial topics like navigating volatility, the evolution of stock markets, mortgage challenges facing homeowners, and significant advancements in investor protection.

“We congratulate all the winners for their depth of coverage on what matters most to Canadian investors. PMAC’s independent judging panel calls the level of exemplary written, audio and video submissions to this year’s awards among the highest in the editorial competition’s 14 years,” says PMAC President Katie Walmsley.

Milestone for Audio-Visual Journalism

In a first for the PMAC Awards, this year’s top honour (Overall Winner) goes to an audio-visual entry, reflecting the competition’s recently introduced category for podcasts and video stories. This expansion drove a record number of entries from media outlets nationwide.
