We were pleased to have as our distinguished speaker for the evening, professor and best-selling author Dr. Thomas Homer-Dixon, who holds the Centre for International Governance Innovation Chair of Global Systems at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. His presentation focused on “SEEING THROUGH COMPLEXITY: Investment dangers and opportunities in a world under stress.”

Considered a leading thinker and writer on global affairs, Dr. Homer-Dixon regularly speaks at top universities and industry associations, and consults to government agencies in Canada, Europe, and the United States. His talk will identify a set of interconnected macro stresses affecting investment decisions, with an eye to discerning patterns of risk, uncertainty, and opportunity emerging in the short to intermediate term.
